Reframing Management for the 21st Century – what has to go, what should stay
The Global Peter Drucker Forum
APR 19 | 14:30 – 18:30 | 2024
ISM University, Gedimino ave. 7, Vilnius
What changes must we make today for successful leadership and knowledge work tomorrow?
Business management is in the throes of a historic transition, one being fast-forwarded by AI. How can we go from a model inherited from the industrial age, to one that is fit for purpose for the digital 21st century? The transition process is in full swing, but it needs to be fully understood and guided.
Join us for a pivotal conversation between local and international experts, as well as ample networking opportunities.
Panel 1 focuses on freeing the practice of management from its industrial age roots. Moderated by Dalius Misiūnas, we will explore how to go beyond merely “enhancing” old-style bureaucratic approaches with digital technology and AI. Speakers include Drucker Forum founder and president Richard Straub; Arminta Saladžienė – Vice President European Markets, Nasdaq; Mariano Andrade Gonzalez – director at Johnson Mathey.
Panel 2 looks at productivity, innovation and value creation in an age of “thinking” machines. Moderated by Dainius Baltrušaitis, we will explore surprising approaches from the arts, games, and storytelling. Speakers include bestselling author and business storytelling expert Jyoti Guptara; Lina Žemaitytė – Kirkman, Head of ROCKIT; Kristupas Sabolius – philosopher, VU professor, MIT research affiliate.
